The Reserve

I SIGNED THE PAPERS!!! There is a townhome on Montfort with my name on it!!! (And eventually Logans :) )

It is such an answer to prayer, seeing as I really wanted to be in a great location, for a good price, and to feel safe since I will be by myself at the beginning.

We found The Reserve this past weekend and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, homey-feeling, place. Our place will be 3 stories high... the bottom floor is a garage, the 2nd is a kitchen and living/dining, and the 3rd is a bathroom, huge bedroom, and walk-in closet!!!

I move in June 1st and I couldn't be more thrilled... This will be my very first time to live on my own without roommates! Can't wait to post pictures once it is decorated, but here a few teasers/ before pics!

James Morrison

So its official... Logan and I are in love.... with James Morrison.

We went to his concert Thursday night and I kid you not, we were competing a/g each other as to how many times James made eye contact with each of us... Allegedly Logan won b/c he was "taller" and had that advantage working for him... Me on the other hand, had the whole GIRL thing going for me... so you pick :)

This honestly was probably in my top 3 concerts I have EVER been to and one of the FEW where I left feeling like the artist sounded better LIVE than he does on his scrumptious CDs, which I might add, have not come out of our itunes/ cd players since the day of the concert!

So shout to James... my boyfriend wants you to take your shirt off and feels like yall could be good friends and as for me... who on EARTH is this girl who has inspired such amazing lyrics???

Lately...

I don't have any pictures or anything fun to post really... but thought I would update this thing so that people don't give up on me and think I'm an incompetent blogger... ha!

Honestly, I am on a BIG TIME search for 2 things right now.

1. an apartment that is in my price range (humbling going from 3 roommates to being a 1 woman show... wow the tables turn, and the prices go up!) If anyone wants to get struck by cupid, just let Northbridge know APT #138!!! It has now successfully seen 4 marriages, 1 engagement, and 1 well... eventually ;) All I am saying is that this APT has seen all kinds of romance!!!

2. since I have always had roommates that come fully furnished, I am in dire need of some furniture... at this point I am inheriting a couch, have a bed, a small dresser, a TV, and a desk I got in elementary school... not too bad, but MUST get an affordable kitchen table and chairs... a starter set will do, but you know... it has to be cute :)

I am not sure when I got so excited about "nesting" and furnishing a place... I used to be grossed out and bored by the thought of Crate & Barrel and now I get excited!!! Who am I turning into??? Maybe I'll start cooking if I am feeling REAL domestic!!!

So anywhoo... Logan and I went to look all over Dallas and were unsuccessful in our kitchen table hunt as well as a 1BR apartment for me- It was either too smoky, too "college part 2", too cheap looking, or too pricey for me at this point... I haven't made my millions yet ;) Riiight....

Thats my boring update of the week... Stay tuned for the domestic adventures (and hopefully something a lot more interesting) of Abby and Logan!!!

25 and FABULOUS!!!

This was the most perfect day... I came into work and my cube was decked out with flowers, coffee creamer (b/c I am always out), a balloon, streamers, and all my Twitter celebrities wishing me a happy birthday! haha I am embarassed to admit that I did make a point to try and get Ashton to text me Happy Birthday by the end of work as a challenge but sadly he was too busy and too important :) Logan also suprised me with a fruit bouquet which my coworkers thoroughly enjoyed! It was almost gone by the time I got home... isn't it so cute??

Logan mysteriously told me to dress nice for our night out with him and my mom and to pack black leggings... I was boggled- Was it going to be cold? Were we horseback riding??? MUCH to my suprise, he gave me a beautiful silk dress from J'Adore and the mannequin was wearing black leggings so he thought I would want to wear them too! HAHA! So thoughtful and sweet... and yes, Logan, I actually REALLY loved the dress and would have never splurged on something so nice for myself. (Hello Forever 21 and Target)

Anywhoo... we had drinks at Cube Libre and then walked over to the Porch for dinner... I had amazing pork tenderloin and this AMAZING smore sundae that was just heavenly...

Thanks everyone for my birthday wishes! It is sure to be a banner year :)

My 25th Birthday PARTY!

So this past week I got sick with the "crud" going around my office... luckily, it wasn't tonsillitis and I did get a "congrats" from my coworkers for being healthy since August. (I used to get sick every 6-8 weeks like clockwork until I finally had those babies taken out!)

I went low key on Friday celebrating with my Dad and Kelley in Coppell with a wonderful steak dinner, cake, and presents. I used Dylan's gift card to purchase my Saturday night outfit, thanks D!

Saturday night we went to Snuffers to eat dinner... a very "ABBY" celebration filled with cheese fries, chicken strips, and beer :) Afterwards we hit up 300, a suprisingly clean and non-smoke filled bowling alley. Above the bowling lanes they were playing either music videos or the Final 4...So we had good dancing music for the girls and entertainment for the boys.

BRAG TIME: My final round we were running out of time and on the last frame I bowled 9 down, then got a spare, then ended on a strike and received a 125, my highest score ever!! My goal of the evening was to break into the 3 digits. Dare me girls??? haha!

It was a great night... thanks for all my goodies and to all my besties who made it out!!! Glad the Z Pack did the trick and I was able to rally!
